ANSI (American National Standards Institute) approved a National Standard for High-Visibility Safety Apparel (ANSI/ISEA 107-2004). Providing guidelines for choosing and using high-visibility apparel in the United States, such as Safety Vests.
ANSI/ISEA 107-2004 is a standard that offers performance specifications for reflective materials, (such as placement, reflectiveness, materials, testing which improves safety and visibility. There are three classes of garments based on work environment.
ANSI Class 3
Class 3 safety vests are provided for workers in high-risk environments, that require the highest level of visibility, such as traffic exceeding 50 mph and adverse weather conditions.
